What a fantastic time we have had during Apple Week! Our orchard is bursting with apples so we began the week by taking a trip to pick an apple. Back in class, we got busy peeling the apples ready to stew them with a little sugar and water. The next day it was time to make our pastries! We cut out a circle of pastry then spooned on some of our delicious apple filling before folding the pastry over and pressing the edges together with a fork. Into the oven they went whilst we got back to class to read up about apple facts and write our own super apple-related sentences. Once our pastries had cooled we bit into them hungrily and declared them a baking success!
